General

Nina Aurora is our faux-fur outerwear brand, created by us as a couple who love winter nights, city lights, and getting dressed up. We design coats that feel rich and heavy, keep you warm in real cold, and stay completely fur-free.

Nina Aurora was started by the two of us after one too many nights freezing in thin coats while watching people walk by in real fur. We wanted the same power and warmth, without the guilt. Every coat you see here is the result of that promise we made to each other.

We split our time between Europe and North America, but we design everything ourselves and work closely with our production partners to keep a close eye on quality. Our goal is simple: when you put on your NinaAurora coat, it should feel like we handed it to you in person.

Yes. Every coat and jacket we make is faux fur and 100% fur-free. We never use real fur, and we don’t plan to. Our whole brand started from that choice.


We’re starting with the heart of the brand: faux-fur coats and jackets. Over time we may add matching scarves, hats or other pieces, but only when we feel they truly match our standards and story.


Coats & Sizing

Most styles are designed for a relaxed, slightly oversized fit that still looks sharp. On each product page we share the model’s height, the size they’re wearing, and a fit note (true to size, slightly oversized, etc.) so you can choose with confidence.




Use the size chart on each product page and compare it to a coat you already own. If you’re between sizes and want a sleeker look, go down. If you love a dramatic, roomy fit or plan to layer thick knits, go up. If you’re still unsure, reach out and we’ll help you personally.



Yes. Our goal is for Nina Aurora to feel inclusive. We offer an extended size range on our key styles and are planning to expand it each season. If your size is missing, tell us – we design our next drops based on real feedback.




They’re meant to feel present on your shoulders in a good way – solid, protective, and cozy. We spent a lot of time getting the balance right so you feel hugged, not weighed down.




Many of our silhouettes are designed with women in mind, but plenty of styles work on all genders. If you’re unsure, send us your height, usual size and the coat you like, and we’ll tell you which size we’d pick for you.






Materials & Warmth

Our faux fur is made from high-quality synthetic fibers, with recycled and bio-based content where possible. Linings are chosen to be smooth on the skin and durable over time. On each product page, we list exact fabric compositions so you know what you’re buying.







The Nina Aurora Warmth Index is our simple 1–5 scale that tells you how warm a coat feels in real life.

1–2: Light chill, cool evenings, indoor wear.
3: Everyday city winter with light layering.
4: Cold days and nights, thicker knits underneath.
5: Deep winter, long time outside, serious layering.

We test our coats ourselves – outside, at night – and rate them honestly.




Some styles are perfect for mild winters and city nights, others are built for real cold. Check the Warmth Index and the temperature notes on each product page. If you tell us where you live and how you plan to wear it, we’ll recommend the right style.








All faux fur can shed a little at the beginning – it’s normal. We choose higher-quality piles and finishes to keep shedding low, and we share care tips (like brushing and washing in a laundry bag) to help. Usually any light shedding calms down after a few wears.







Faux fur isn’t fully waterproof, but it can handle light snow or drizzle. If you get caught in heavier rain, shake off the water, hang the coat to dry away from direct heat, then gently brush the fur once it’s dry to revive the texture.







It means we never use real fur or hide – ever. We started Nina Aurora because we wanted the look and warmth of fur without the harm to animals. That’s a line we don’t cross, no matter how a trend moves.








We’re honest: faux fur is not perfect for the planet. But we believe it’s still the better choice when we design for durability and use smarter materials.

We’re increasing the share of recycled and bio-based fibers, using lower-impact packaging, and sharing care tips that reduce micro-shedding and extend each coat’s life. Our goal is fewer, better pieces that stay in your closet for years.







Care

Treat it like a favorite piece: hang it on a wide hanger, give it space in your closet, and avoid crushing it under heavy items. After wearing, a gentle shake and light brush will keep the fur looking full.






Always check the care label, but in most cases:

– Spot clean first with a damp cloth.
– If needed, use a cold delicate machine wash inside out, in a laundry bag, with gentle detergent.
– Never tumble dry. Hang to dry away from direct heat or sun.
– Once dry, brush the fur lightly to bring back the softness.






Make sure it’s clean and completely dry, then hang it on a strong, wide hanger. Use a breathable garment bag (not plastic) and keep it in a cool, dry place. Don’t store it tightly packed – faux fur likes a bit of air.








This is normal after being folded in a box. Hang your coat right away, shake it out, and gently brush the fur in the direction of the pile. After a day or two, it will relax and regain its volume.









Shipping

We ship to many countries worldwide. At checkout you’ll see the current list of destinations. If your country isn’t showing, send us a message and we’ll see what we can do.








We usually process and ship orders within 1–3 business days. Shipping times depend on your location and the method you choose at checkout. During launches or sales, processing might take a little longer, but we’ll always keep you updated by email.








We offer free shipping above a certain order value for select regions. The current threshold and eligible countries are shown at the top of the site and at checkout.








Some countries charge customs, duties, or import taxes when your order arrives. These fees are set by your local authorities and are the customer’s responsibility. We don’t control them, but we’re working on smoother options as we grow.








As soon as your order ships, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link. If you don’t see it, please check your spam folder first, then contact us and we’ll resend it.








Returns & Exchanges

We want you to love your coat. If you don’t, you can return unworn, unwashed items with tags attached within our return window (shown at checkout and in your order confirmation). Try it on at home, but please keep it free of perfume, makeup, and pet hair.

Use our return portal (linked in your order confirmation) or contact us with your order number. We’ll guide you through the steps and share the return shipping details for your region.










In many regions we can help you exchange for a different size or style, depending on stock. If you’d like an exchange, mention it when you contact us and we’ll hold the new item for you where possible.










Once your return is delivered and inspected, we’ll process your refund back to your original payment method. Please allow a few business days for your bank or card provider to post the credit.









First of all, we’re sorry – that’s not how we want your Nina Aurora experience to start. Email us with your order number and clear photos of the issue, and we’ll fix it as fast as we can with a replacement or refund.










Payments

We accept major credit and debit cards, as well as secure payment options like Shop Pay and other local methods shown at checkout. All payments are processed through encrypted gateways.

Yes, in some countries we offer interest-free installments through Shop Pay or similar partners. If it’s available for you, you’ll see the option on the product page and at checkout.











Our store shows prices in your local currency where possible. At checkout, you’ll see the final currency before you confirm payment. Your bank may use its own exchange rate if you’re paying in a different currency.












Other Questions

Some pieces are limited drops, others are part of our core line. If a style you love is sold out, sign up for restock alerts on the product page. We use those alerts to decide what to bring back.
